Our Industry Expert Panel is a group of seasoned professionals and thought leaders from various sectors who provide strategic insights and practical guidance to ensure academic programs remain aligned with current industry standards and emerging trends. Their role includes advising on curriculum relevance, reviewing graduate competencies, and supporting continuous program improvement through real-world perspectives and expertise.

Amirnuddin Bin Mazlan

Amirnuddin Bin Mazlan joined HRD Corp, Malaysia as its Finance Director in 1998 and retires as the Chief Executive of the organisation in 2013. Amirnuddin has been appointed Adjunct Professor and Consultant by a number of universities in Malaysia, and is still active in organising advanced leadership programme with universities in the UK. Amirnuddin specialises in executive education, particularly gaining qualifications through the recognition of prior learning pathway, and accumulation of micro-credential courses.

Amirnuddin attained his Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from the National University of Malaysia in 1984 and became a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 1987. In 2011, he was conferred The Most Distinguished Order of Loyalty to the Crown of Malaysia (Companion) by the King of Malaysia and The Order of the Crown of Pahang (Knight Companion) from the Sultan of Pahang in 2014.

Dr. ShawHong SER

ShawHong SER attained a D.B.A. in Design Management from University of Information Technology and Management (Poland), M.A. in Cultural Management from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), B.F.A. in Communication Design from University of Tasmania (Australia), and a Diploma in Communication Design from The One Academy (Malaysia).

He is highly regarded as a passionate, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a creative approach that is proven successful in inspiring and leading students and individuals of different backgrounds. ShawHong has extensive experience in tertiary education administration, academic affairs and teaching within the higher education institutions in Asia, including academic appointment at LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), KDU University College (Malaysia), Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (Thailand) and United International College of Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University (China).

He has also been invited as an adjunct/visiting professor in a number of universities and design institutions, including Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Shih Chien University (Taiwan), Yunnan University (China), Yunnan Arts University (China), National Institute of Development and Administration (Thailand), Silpakorn University (Thailand), Raffles Design College (Thailand), PJ College of Arts and Design (Malaysia) and The One Academy (Malaysia).

Yeh Choy Yan

Yeh Choy Yan is a seasoned international executive with over 25 years of leadership experience spanning education, public policy, business development, and strategic partnerships across Asia. He currently serves as the Singapore Representative for China Medical University (Taiwan), where he leads governmental and university relations.

Mr. Yeh’s distinguished career includes senior leadership roles at renowned institutions such as RMIT University, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Singapore Tourism Board. His expertise covers academic operations, global engagement strategies, industry-aligned education, and quality assurance across diverse sectors.

He has also advised start-ups and educational ventures in medtech, fintech, and special needs education, contributing to Edutrust accreditations and innovation ecosystems. With a robust background in regional market development—including China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Japan—he brings a valuable real-world perspective to ECU’s MBA program and institutional growth.

Mr. Yeh holds an MBA from Tsinghua University (China) and MIT Sloan School of Management (USA), and dual bachelor's degrees from Curtin University in Business Law and Marketing.

Phumlani M. Majozi

Phumlani M. Majozi is author of “Lessons from Past Heroes”, a book published by Tracey McDonald’s Publishers in November 2023.

Currently, Phumlani advises international investors on South Africa's political economy. He also sits on the boards of two organisations: Chartered Institute for Business Accountants (CIBA) and Social Research Foundation (SRF).

He's a columnist on Politicsweb.co.za writing on economics and politics. His writings have also been published in the City Press, BizNews, Business Day, News24, and African Liberty. Phumlani is a global speaker, who has spoken at conferences in South Africa, Kenya, Italy, United States of America, and Czech Republic.
 
He's been interviewed by BBC World News, and has been quoted by TIME Magazine and Al Jazeera, about South Africa’s socioeconomic trends. His work on South Africa’s political economy analysis is acknowledged by Sir Niall Ferguson, in his book "Doom: The Politics of Catastrophe", published in June 2021 by Penguin Books.
